The Sewol Ferry Salvage involves a plan to tow the raised wreck from the salvage site to a harbor in South Korea. This project investigates the unusual hydrodynamics of a floating dry dock (click for PowerPoint) in waves with a heavy load.

It is concluded that damage to the wing walls is very probable in 3-meter waves with periods around 8 seconds, which is the approximate natural roll period at small angles (below 2 degrees).
